Medieval Ii Total War English Localized Pack

How to Change the Language of Medieval II Total War and Kingdoms

Medieval II Total War and its expansion Kingdoms are popular strategy games developed by Creative Assembly and published by Sega. They are set in the Middle Ages and feature historical and fictional scenarios involving various factions, battles, diplomacy, religion, and more. However, some players may want to play the games in a different language than the one they have installed. For example, some may prefer to play in English for a more authentic experience, or to enjoy the original voice acting and dialogue.

In this article, we will show you how to change the language of Medieval II Total War and Kingdoms into English, or any other language that is supported by the games. There are two methods that you can use: changing your Steam language settings, or downloading and replacing the localized.pack file.

Method 1: Changing your Steam language settings

This method is the easiest and most convenient one, as it does not require you to download or modify any files. However, it will also change the language of your entire Steam client and all other games that use Steam language settings. If you do not mind this, then follow these steps:

  • Open your Steam client and click on "Steam" in the upper left corner.

  • Select "Settings" from the drop-down menu.

  • Click on "Interface" in the left panel.

  • Choose the language that you want to play Medieval II Total War and Kingdoms in from the drop-down menu. For example, if you want to play in English, select "English".

  • Click on "OK" and restart your Steam client.

  • Launch Medieval II Total War or Kingdoms from your Steam library. The game should now be in the language that you selected.

If you want to revert back to your original language, simply repeat these steps and choose your previous language.

Method 2: Downloading and replacing the localized.pack file

This method is more complicated and requires you to download a file from an external source and replace an existing file in your game folder. However, it will only change the language of Medieval II Total War and Kingdoms, and not affect your Steam client or other games. If you prefer this method, then follow these steps:

  • Find and download the localized.pack file for the language that you want to play Medieval II Total War and Kingdoms in. You can search for it online or use one of these links: [English], [French], [German], [Italian], [Spanish].

  • Locate your Medieval II Total War game folder. If you installed it through Steam, it should be in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Medieval II Total War. If you installed it from a disc or another source, it may be in a different location.

  • Open the data folder inside your game folder.

  • Find and backup the existing localized.pack file by renaming it or moving it to another location.

  • Copy and paste the downloaded localized.pack file into the data folder.

  • Launch Medieval II Total War or Kingdoms from your Steam library or desktop shortcut. The game should now be in the language that you downloaded.

If you want to revert back to your original language, simply delete the downloaded localized.pack file and restore the backed up one.

Conclusion

We hope that this article helped you change the language of Medieval II Total War and Kingdoms into English or any other language that you prefer. Enjoy playing these classic strategy games in your desired language!
